Our panel of experts will delve into the rich legacy of Black labor, from the agricultural expertise of enslaved Africans and the entrepreneurial resilience of Black communities to contributions to labor rights, architecture, public service, and social activism.

San Francisco GiantsRoscoe enters his tenth season with the San Francisco Giants, bringing a track record of impactful leadership and strategic innovation. He spearheaded the successful 2015 Mission Rock development campaign, which secured an unprecedented 74% voter approval—the highest for any private development in San Francisco’s history.
Roscoe has held key leadership roles within the organization, including Director of Government Relations and Vice President of External Affairs, where he navigated the award-winning Mission Rock development project through complex entitlement processes. His efforts contributed to significant community-focused initiatives, including 40% of housing designated for below-market rates, a $1 million workforce development program, and millions of dollars in contracts awarded to local minority- and women-owned businesses.
As Chief Diversity Officer, Roscoe continues to champion programs that foster belonging, representation, and cultural understanding, driving greater inclusiveness and collaboration within the Giants organization. In 2024, he played a role in the historic MLB game at Rickwood Field, which honored the Negro Leagues and celebrated icons like Willie Mays.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Roscoe’s career spans both public and private sectors. He has served on numerous boards, earned recognition for his leadership, and was named among Outsports Power 100’s top 25 Leaders in Sports.

EdelmanA leader at the nexus of human rights and business, Elyse Galloway promotes human dignity and societal well-being through strategic corporate investments. She champions purpose-oriented businesses, those that balance wealth generation and advancing positive social change. Currently, Elyse is keenly interested in the EU's Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and it’s forthcoming implications for large EU and non-EU companies operating in the EU.
Partnering with diverse healthcare and global health entities, from global pharmaceutical and consumer goods companies to the World Economic Forum, WHO and UN organizations, Elyse has developed global communications strategies and programs; led community and professional advocacy initiatives; disseminated new policy, data and research-based information; and produced social impact campaigns.
Elyse graduated Cum Laude from Tufts University with Anthropology and Community Health degrees and received a master’s degree in Public Health from Yale University. Currently on professional leave, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Advanced Global Studies from Sciences Po – Paris School of International Affairs. Her studies center on the intersection of human rights, humanitarian action and global economies.
Galloway was recognized as a 15 Under 35 awardee by the New York Public Relations Society of America in 2023 and was featured as a Creative Class 2024 Health + Wellness Leader presented by HBO Max and The Creative Collective NYC. She is an active member of the Tufts Honos Civicus Society, Association of Yale Alumni in Public Health and WEF Global Health Equity Network.
